Family Workshops/ Parent Organizations 

Over the years, parents routinely expressed an interest in the Mighty Ms work I was doing in the classroom. Parents were curious to learn more about mindfulness and what activities/exercises they could do at home with their other children.

 

I've presented at Parents' Associations and led customized family workshops on how to bring mindfulness to specific struggles (i.e. homework routines) to more broad concerns such as habits, stress, doubt and the power of assumptions to dictate decisions. 

 

For the last ten years, I have enjoyed using my creativity to tweak mindfulness practices to make them more developmentally accessible for children and adolescents. Not surprisingly, I've found that these modifications resonate with adults as well!
