In this course, you'll continue building upon those foundational IRF skills by learning .... 

  • how to savor and soak up pleasant experiences in an IRF way and ... why that's important

  • how to deepen your relationship with Inner Critics so that you experience them as being on your side 

  • how to turn towards and be with an Inner Protector 

    • (For example, Something in you that's not wanting you to turn towards __________. It, too, has something to offer! )​

  • how to get a felt sense of a story, habit or longing so that something new can emerge from what may feel familiar or stuck

  • how to Companion even more skillfully

Class Structure...

The class structure will be exactly the same as PART ONE. Each class will meet weekly for two hours over six weeks. Since it's an experiential course, there will be a mix of teaching, brief reading assignments, Focusing exercises and Focusing partnerships. Since what we practice grows stronger, Focusing partnerships* will help you exercise and strengthen this life-changing skill both inside and outside of class.

* The time commitment for meeting outside of class with your partner will be about 30 minutes to an hour each week. Since you're learning additional skills, you may find it helpful to have sessions that are longer than 15 minutes. It's entirely up to you and your partner.

What's not included in the course fee? 

You will need to purchase your own copy of The Focusing Student’s and Companion’s Manual PART 2, which costs $30. You'll still need your manual from PART 1.
